Irrigated Agriculture

In irrigated agriculture, field shape, supply level and drainage must be considered together. A tidy surface cannot distribute water properly if the inlet cannot supply the designed head or the outlet sits too high.

Plan the surface handover

BeforeSurvey inlets, outlets, field levels and existing banks.
Work stageChoose a surface arrangement that fits the irrigation method and available water delivery, then estimate the earth movement.
AfterCarry out a controlled water observation after formation and before relying on the field.

What to verify

Check direction of fall and residual low areas at the receiving end.

The asset determines the work sequence. Separate growing areas, structural surfaces and access routes so one grading decision does not create a defect in the next operation. Use the related application guides to turn the overall industry requirement into a specific job brief.

Scope and limits

The design needs site-specific hydraulic and agronomic input; no universal slope suits all systems.
