Orchard Land Preparation
Orchard land preparation should occur before permanent rows and infrastructure restrict access. The finished profile must support both trees and inter-row traffic.

Plan the surface handover
BeforeSet out rows and survey drainage and access features.
Work stageSeparate productive soil from access formation and make planned corrections before planting.
AfterInstall irrigation and trees after surface checks.
What to verify
Inspect row ends and crossings that will be difficult to repair later.
Field formation precedes the crop-specific seedbed or bed-making operation. Protect productive soil, check the whole water route and coordinate headlands with machinery access. A before-and-after photograph can show shape, but does not establish a crop or irrigation benefit without appropriate observations.
Scope and limits
Deep root-zone preparation is not the same task as shallow surface grading.
Continue the job brief
Include the location, existing condition, intended surface, material, available tractor and proposed dates.
