Productivity Assumptions and Calculation Method
Transparent assumptions make productivity information more useful and more credible.
Baseline
- Worked production baseline: approximately 10 m³/hour.
- Worked tractor-fuel baseline: approximately 5.5 L/hour.
- Operating reference: approximately 20 loads/hour at 7 km/h with an approximately 280 m haul.
- Dugong 1400 nominal capacity reference: 0.65 m³.
What is measured versus derived
Fuel per cubic metre, material per litre and estimated hours for a landforming volume are derived calculations from the baseline inputs. They are not separate test results.
Factors to record
Record tractor model and power, fuel measurement method, soil/material, moisture, load fill, average haul, travel speed, turns, grade, operating hours, interruptions and measured cut/fill volume. Repeated job records can progressively replace planning assumptions with verified field data.
Operating-data qualification
The figures on this page are worked examples based on the stated baseline assumptions, not guaranteed production or fuel-consumption figures. Actual results vary with tractor, soil and material, moisture, loading efficiency, haul distance, grade, traffic, operator, weather and site conditions. Measure the actual job before making a commercial decision.
