Published scope
ISO 20474-7:2017 provides safety requirements for wheeled and crawler scrapers and explicitly excepts towed scrapers as defined in ISO 6165.
Implication for Dugong
A tractor-towed Dugong should not be advertised as compliant with ISO 20474-7 solely because the standard has “scrapers” in its title.
Better approach
Identify standards that actually cover the machine terminology, capacity-rating method, tractor connection or components, and separately document any applicable Australian legal and engineering requirements.
